One thing I love to do in the past was to look for the tall buildings in each individual cities and see if they have restaurants situated right on top of the building and enjoy the food. Normally food would be okay but the view would blow you away.
Some of the MOST memorable tall buildings that I love up until today are:
1) Sydney Centrepoint tower, Australia: I went there for dinners and banquets for no less than 10 times. Each time, I continually to be drawn to the rotating night views of Sydney. You get to see Opera House and Harbour bridge up on top. Never fail to amaze me. Fact is the food is pretty good as well though the draw back was the price. I remembered my first visit, the price was below A$50 but it went up and my last visit was around A$65. Don’t know what the current price is. But let me tell you, whatever it is, it is a good price. Don’t go on New Year eve. You need years to book a spot for that night. Always pack. Advance 2 weeks booking even for a “normal” night.
2) Menara KL, Malaysia - not bad a view. Frankly, KL can make it to a nice good city view spot. Food is so so but view is fantastic unless you made it on a hazy day.
3) The peak, HK - super nice view of Hong Kong CBD from the back. You know how you always watch TVB series, it boasts one of the best view.
4) Jingmao Tower, Shanghai - Grand Hyatt Hotel - I think from memory. Damm, my memory can be bad. Very Expensive. View The Bund from its high floors. Food is pretty good. I don’t know if Pearl Orient Tower has a food joint but the view from there is pretty good as well.
5) Vertigo, Bangkok - Banyan Tree Hotel, I think. Good view, good food but nothing too out of the ordinary.
6) Hi-lite 33, Perth - Don’t know if the restaurant still exist. Not the tallest building in Perth but at least it revolves. Food is reasonably ok view belongs to the reasonable category.
7) Compass Rose, Swissotel, Singapore - I think they have changed names. I cannot remember the new place name and always call it compass rose in memory of the old westin hotel. Food belongs to the reasonable category but views lacking.
Four Winds, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia - definitely not the tallest building. The tallest belongs to Q1. But the view is only good for day time. Get to see the entire Gold Coast canal system plus the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. Dimsum is great. I love it, though I don’t know about you guys. And back then the price is pretty reasonable. Don’t know about its prices now.

In Kuala Lumpur, Luna Bar should be listed too.
